Over the past few years, many of you have asked whether we offer servicing and repairs alongside our refurbished cameras - we listened.
At Vintage Camera Hut, we understand that vintage film cameras are more than simple tools - they are precision mechanical instruments, engineered to perform consistently when properly maintained. We now offer dedicated repair and servicing for classic 35mm and medium format film cameras, helping to preserve reliability and extend the working life of well-made equipment.
Our focus is careful mechanical inspection, preventative maintenance and long-term performance. Each camera is assessed individually, with attention given to shutters, transport mechanisms, metering systems and seals. All work is approached methodically and transparently.

Once we receive your details, we’ll review the information and advise on the next steps before you send your equipment. We operate on a structured queue system.
Most work is completed within 3 - 14 working days from receipt, depending on complexity and current workload.
All quotations are provided after physical inspection. No work is undertaken without your approval

Full Servicing & Repairs For:

• Classic mechanical lenses requiring inspection, cleaning or aperture servicing
Maintenance & Light Seal Replacement:
In addition to full servicing and repair work, we also provide preventative maintenance and light seal replacement.
Light seals naturally deteriorate over time and are a common cause of light leaks in ageing cameras. Replacing them ensures reliable performance and protects your film from unwanted exposure.

All equipment is assessed upon arrival prior to quotation. A quotation for any additional work will be provided following inspection.
Sending Your Camera
We recommend sending your camera using a tracked and insured delivery service. Vintage equipment can be delicate and should be adequately protected during transit.
For return shipping, we use:
Next Day delivery (by 1pm)
Fully insured and fully tracked, charged at £9
Cameras are securely packaged and dispatched once work has been completed.
