Canon Auto Zoom 318M model had a newly designed 3x zoom lens and a macro shooting mechanism. A compact total reflection mirror was applied to realize a bright single-lens-reflex viewfinder. Very accurate exposure was assured with a voltage stabilized exposure measuring circuit using a monolithic IC, the world’s first.
