A Rolleiflex is usually the more premium and expensive choice, often with faster lenses and a stronger collector following. A Rolleicord can be better value for someone who wants the Rollei TLR experience without paying top prices. Condition and service history matter more than the badge alone.

The Rollei 35 is tiny and beautifully made, but it uses scale focusing, so you estimate distance rather than focusing through a viewfinder. It suits photographers who enjoy compact mechanical cameras and are comfortable slowing down slightly. It is not the easiest point-and-shoot alternative.
