By accessing our website or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced on this website.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use this website.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.

3. ELIGIBILITY

By placing an order, you confirm that:

4. PRODUCTS & DESCRIPTIONS

We sell vintage and refurbished photographic equipment and related accessories.

Due to the nature of vintage goods:

  • Cosmetic wear may be present and is described where relevant;

  • Images form part of the product description;

  • Colour representation may vary depending on screen settings.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. CONDITION OF USED & VINTAGE GOODS

The products sold by Vintage Camera Hut LTD consist primarily of vintage, pre-owned and refurbished photographic equipment. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

5.1 Nature of Vintage Goods

All items are previously owned unless explicitly stated otherwise. Due to their age and prior use:

  • Cosmetic wear, minor marks, patina, ageing or surface imperfections may be present;

  • Rubber, foam, light seals and lubricants may degrade over time;

  • Mechanical tolerances may differ from modern equipment.

Such characteristics are inherent to vintage goods and do not constitute faults where accurately described.

5.2 Product Descriptions & Images

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions and photographs accurately represent the item being sold.

Product images form part of the description. Buyers are responsible for reviewing all photographs and written details before purchase.

Variations in screen display may affect colour perception.

5.3 Mechanical & Electronic Components

All cameras, lenses and equipment are tested prior to sale. However, due to the age and mechanical nature of vintage equipment:

  • Long-term performance cannot be guaranteed;

  • Electronic components may fail due to age-related wear;

  • Light meters, shutters and internal mechanisms may operate within reasonable tolerances for vintage equipment rather than modern factory specifications.

Where a camera is sold as “untested”, “spares or repair”, or similar, this will be clearly stated and such items are sold accordingly.

5.4 Film & Processing Responsibility

Vintage Camera Hut LTD is not responsible for:

  • Film exposure results;

  • Laboratory processing outcomes;

  • Image quality affected by user settings, film choice or processing methods.

Photography results depend on user technique, film stock, storage conditions and third-party processing.

5.5 Compatibility

Buyers are responsible for ensuring compatibility between:

  • Camera bodies and lenses;

  • Batteries and electronic components;

  • Film types and formats.

We are not liable for incorrect purchases resulting from compatibility assumptions.

5.6 Reasonable Expectations Under UK Law

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

However, when assessing whether goods are of satisfactory quality, the standard applied reflects:

  • The age of the item;

  • Its pre-owned condition;

  • Any disclosed faults or wear;

  • The reasonable expectations of a purchaser buying vintage photographic equipment.

6. PRICING & PAYMENT

All prices are listed in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to amend pricing at any time. However, confirmed orders will not be affected.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where:

  • A pricing error has occurred;

  • The item is unavailable;

  • Fraud or unauthorised payment is suspected.

If payment has been taken and an order is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.

7. DELIVERY

Delivery terms, timeframes and charges are set out on our Delivery Information page.

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.

Ownership of goods passes once full payment has been received.

8. RETURNS & REFUNDS

Returns are governed by our Refund Policy.

Where you are a consumer in the UK, your rights are protected under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content, including branding, product descriptions and images, is the property of Vintage Camera Hut LTD unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, copy or distribute any content without prior written permission.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

Subject to the above, our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods concerned.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
