Harman Phoenix 200 135 36 Exposure Film

Harman Phoenix is the brand new ISO 200 C41 negative film, marking Harman’s first ever colour offering made entirely from emulsion to cassette at the Mobberley factory. Key features of the film are high contrast and a strong visible grain, giving images a very distinct and unique look.

With a DX coded cassette and a box speed of ISO 200, Phoenix can be rated between ISO 100 and 400 but performs best in good, consistent light. On brighter days or when shooting into the light there is also a possibility of halation.

It delivers punchy, vibrant colours although they react differently to different scanners and settings. Getting the exposure right will certainly help to get the best results so Harman suggests metering for the mid tones to retain shadow or highlight detail.

Phoenix represents an exciting new chapter in the world of analogue photography, and we applaud Harman for taking the leap and producing a new C41 Colour Negative 35mm film, an incredibly rare sight for the world of film.

Development is the standard C41 processing.
