- TThe Asahi Pentax S is a rare 35mm SLR camera introduced in April 1958 as a budget version of the original Pentax AP, featuring 1/500s max shutter speeds, an M42 screw mount, and no built-in meter. Production was limited to approximately 4,000–5,000 units, making it one of the rarest "normal" Pentax models
